ATS Ported Compressor Housing 1999.5-2003 7.3L F-Series Powerstroke

-Increased turbo life
-Eliminates compressor surge
-4" Intake and exclusive inducer bleed ring
-13% increase in airflow
-Smoother exit airflow
-Increased efficiency and performance

The Ported Shroud Compressor Housing, designed to increase your turbo life by eliminating the damaging effect of compressor surge. When performance products are added to increase horsepower, the compressor wheel accelerates faster and compressor surge and flutter becomes more apparent and damaging.

The Ported Compressor Housing is designed with a 4" intake and exclusive inducer bleed ring. This results in a 13% increase in choke flow allowing more air into the compressor wheel, and inducer bleed broadens the range of the compressor wheel, smooths out air flow and eliminates turbo compressor surge. Note that the stock compressor housing only has a 3" intake.

Includes - ATS Ported Compressor Housing; ATS 4" Intake Boot; Intake Boot Clamp

Fits only F-Series 99-03 7.3L

    ATS housing 7.3

Posted by Zak on Apr 25th 2023

Installed this ported housing on my 2001 7.3 stock garret 38 along with a wicked wheel and TRTD wastegate. Massive difference in power no surge holding 30 pounds of boost no problem. For those looking for an upgrade in turbo whistle this is where it’s at also. I don’t know why people say it dosent had sound but in my case it now sounds like a 6.0. Super happy with it

    ATS Ported Housing

Posted by Kevin on Aug 31st 2021

The housing I received in ATS packaging was an updated version different from the one shown in the picture, with “Aurora”cast on the outlet and the intake Plenum was completely different design than the original shown in the picture. Excellent casting finish and machining. When installing I did have to grind a fair amount of material off of the spider outlet on the passenger side, not sure of that was due to the Plenum reinforcement inserts, non-EBPV pedestal or the ported housing, but after that everything fit well. I reused my stock compressor wheel and the performance is awesome! Much better spool up and a couple pounds of boost, totally eliminated my turbo surge issue and is much quieter than the stock housing with 6637 intake. Only a faint whistle can be heard now. Very pleased with the product and as always Riffraff‘s customer service and quick shipping!

    Ats ported

The new design is by far better then the old. I would have liked the option to have it painted it polished. Only reason it didn’t get a 5 star. I’m running this with a s&b intake, KC balanced assembly, .84 housing, 33 psi wastegate and a ebpv pedestal and exhaust housing delete. Max back pressure of 75 and I can boost till 37 on my race tune, street tune is 30 steadily until I get up to 70 and I’m pegged at 33. You can definitely hear the flow difference and notice it as well with power increase, surge is gone entirely with this setup and the turbo lights faster then it did with the stock housing, whistle starts around 3-5 psi where it was the 10 psi mark with the stock housing with kc drop in.. if you want to push the gtp38 to its limits this is it. Keep .84 housing until you grow out of the stock injectors.. I’m confident I could run this set up with 205s

    No Surge!

Posted by Michael Evans on May 1st 2020

Im not sure what is expected of a cast aluminum housing in respect to casting finish, but IMO, the finish is about the same a my original Garret housing. If you are having surging issues, don't let the finish hold you back, this ported housing did fix my surge problems and that makes it worth the price of admission for me. Great price, service as usual. Thanks RR.

    Quality vs price

Posted by Kirk on Jan 17th 2019

For the cost of this housing I was expecting a better quality product. I have seen Chinese built turbos that look nicer. The casting flash and fitment of this is brutal, wish I would have bought the usturbo housing for half the price.... I expected better for the higher price...

No Cheap, But Effective and beneficial!

Not cheap (no matter where you buy it - Cheapest here), but definitely cured Turbo Surge! Definitely flows more air, but not ridiculously loud.
