    They work great

Posted by Shawn on Feb 22nd 2014

I had originally ordered my CAC boots without buying the clamps thinking I could get away without replacing the clamps. I discovered during install the CAC boots were thicker and the stock clamps didn't fit over. At least not with the nut on them but then once they were around the boot I couldnt get the nut to bite back onto the bolt. So if you're buying the CAC boots order the clamps for sure.

I actually discovered too these clamps have held the boots in place better as well. I had a couple blow offs before under half throttle with my old boots and their spring loaded clamps.. But with these clamps and the new boots I've been at full throttle few times and they've yet to slip or blow off. So I'm very happy. And definitely recommend them. And since there's no spring on these clamps the boots can't expand to push the clamps open wider.

clamps fit well, and have a larger surface area than stock clamps.
