When I ordered my first filter about three or four years ago for my 7.3 PSD, it did not have an inner metal mesh which I understand is important for catching pieces of the paper element in the event of a failure. The new filter has that mesh and I was very happy to see that. I installed this filter with the Riffraff cover on my father's 5.9 so I could chuckle whenever I opened the hood and saw one of Clay's logos on a Cummins.

I took off another after market air cleaner that they claim was a good one this one from you guys I could tell moved a lot more air. It works great with my 4" exhaust and tubro wheel.

First one I bought last well over a year without a pre-filter. Nice snug fit on pipe as well.
