    Fits like a charm

I was a little off set by the reviews on the web of this unit going into a 00 7.3, like had to re-drill for their truck, my install was simple bolt up along with 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch hose adapter's and I'm running cooler all the time, I haul light regularly but still a 110 - 120 degree trans temp while towing is great.

    Best upgrade

I installed this cooler on my 2001 7.3. This should have been the first upgrade I did to the truck. For the cost and the difference it makes if you pull get one. Trany runs cooler now when pulling than it did before when I wasn't pulling. Huge drop in temp 50+ degrees. Was easy to install after removing the cross member under front end to get at lower two bolts. Not a big deal at all. Only parts I had to get was the 3/8 to 1/2 barbs and a few foot of trany hose.

This is a Bernie cooler: it's huuuuuuge

Posted by Chris on Mar 22nd 2017

Cooler showed up fast like always. I removed it from the package and was impressed on how well it was shipped. Install was a breeze all the holes bolts etc. everything just lined up. the new cooler dwarfs the stock one. I was able to drop temps by at least 50 degrees. I have a road trip coming up and the last thing I'll be worrying about while driving is my tranny temp. If you pull anything do yourself and your transmission a favor and buy this cooler.

Awesome deal on a good quality product

Posted by Unknown on Mar 13th 2017

Ordered it on a Saturday morning paid for 2 day shipping they had it on sale and it ended up costing a lot cheaper than any other website or dealer. Had it on Wednesday morning very well packaged and no damage happened during shipping. Awesome customer service and never have to worry about a lost or damaged order when dealing with clay

Good aftermarket alternative to the factory cooler

I bought this cooler from Mishimoto on presale for my 2000 7.3. The quality of the product seems good. I did have to trim the left and right mount to fit but since I was putting the cooler in a non 6.0 truck I assumed it wasn't a part issue but me just putting it in something it wasn't originally designed for (only reason I gave it four stars). No sure because I haven't heard anyone talk about having to trim a OEM 6.0 cooler in a 7.3 truck. I've had the cooler in the truck for the past eight months with lots of heavy towing including a 2K mile road trip with 14k trailer and towing to 9K elevation with no issues. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade their trans cooler on a 7.3 .
