    Fixed my problem

I bought ICP sensor on eBay that was labeled as a Ford Motorcraft ICP sensor but it gave my truck a rough idle so I bought this one from Riff Raff . After installing it, the truck went right back to normal. Idling the one off eBay was a fake Ford part.

The one that I removed from my '97 looked like OE, this new one works great.

    ICP sensor

My 7.3PS started to have an issue starting. Noticed that it seemed to start more consistently with the ICP unplugged. Did not notice a lot of oil but it may have been some at the plug. Was not throwing check engine while plugged but changed anyway. Starting appears to be a lot better. I also changed the Fuel filter so that may have contributed to better starts H/e an OEM part where the dealer quoted me $285 and $675 somewhere else is not bad at around 165. Glad Riff Raff exist.

I installed a parts store ICP sensor in my 97 F250 HD two years ago because my old one had oil in it. Every time I cranked it up the check engine light would stay on for about 30 seconds and the engine would run like garbage until the light turned off. Thanks to Riff Raff, I learned theres a specific ICP based on the year of my truck. I installed the new sensor, smoothed out the idle, smoothed out the acceleration, better cold starts, better hot starts, and the best part is theres no more check engine light! Best pricing, great shipping, Riff Raff knows how its done!
