7.3L Diesel Fuel Rail Crossover™ (FRx) 99-03 Powerstroke

"The Prescription For Your Fuel System Needs®"

Our 2nd Generation FRx™ System utilizes Eaton Aeroquip® 304 Stainless Steel Braided lines covered with a groundbreaking protective layer of HYTREL® from DuPont.

The FRx™ was made to solve the 'deadhead' fuel rail issue on the 99-03 Powerstroke engine by connecting the two heads and allowing a metered return you allow the air another return path, rather than forcing it through your injectors. This product was designed to eliminate the need to cut your return line and use compression fittings, so that it is a true bolt on system. We have also machined the FRx™ block to provide from stock to 72 psi of fuel pressure depending on which spring you choose to install it with. By using our kit and eliminating the air in the fuel system you can experience smoother, quieter idle, less cackle, and better throttle response among other things. You will also be increasing your injector life as well by utilizing the FRx™ and creating a regulated return back to the tank. Protective covers are also pre-installed to prevent chaffing of engine components from the SS braided line. These covers are also great if you want to keep the system looking OE and not draw attention to it once installed.

Included:                                                                                        Techical Info:

The FRx kit works as advertised.

Posted by Griz on Apr 26th 2014

It really smooths out the idle and provides better throttle response. I haven't checked it for MPG gain yet. I would recommend you buy the socket if you decide to do this mod. It'll save you lots of time on removing the plugs especially the passenger side one.

great bolt-on upgrade for the 7.3L

Posted by chris w. britt on Apr 13th 2014

we have been working hard to restore our 7.3L and make it an MPG monster. with all of our add-ons and improvements, we were getting close to 20mpg city and 30mpg hwy. with the addition of the FRX and HPX (should do both) now we are close to 21 mpg city and 33 hwy. the truck runs better than ever and drives better than ever. throttle response is like that of our new 6.7L. our Excursion has over 130k miles, and drives better than it did on day 1 now. one tip...BUY THE 5/16 square pipe plug socket. we did not, and wasted way too much time figuring how to get those darn things off. riffraff has a great thing going in offering you the tool, so follow their lead. also great shipping and great customer service. thanks riffraff!

    Definitely worth the money!!

Posted by zach on Apr 4th 2014

The kit was easy to install. Professional kit here hardest part of install for me was the pipe plugs. It's worth it to buy the 5/16" socket that is listed on the page I didn't and couldn't find anything close locally. So I end up buyin a easy out set and just used it after I rounded the plug a little. But the socket they have on the Web site and get a good penetrating oil and just keep spraying it a couple days before. Other than that kit is easy and simple to install.

    Incredible mod!!

Posted by McGixxer on Mar 29th 2014

After 200,000 miles of driving my truck I decided to make some mods to my truck. The Riffraff FRx is one of the best things Ive ever done to my truck! I did it along with the Riffraff HPx. My truck is incredibly smoother now.

    well made product

Posted by rich on Mar 24th 2014

Product is very well-made. Installation instructions are good, but it is definitely a must that you remove the fuel bowl during installation. When doing that you will need the new O-rings for the fuel lines.
