6.0 Powerstroke Torque Specs: Full Bolt Torque Chart for 2003–2007 Ford Diesel Engines

Mar 27th 2026

Bolt torque for the 6.0 Powerstroke shouldn’t be guesswork. So we pulled the specs from Ford service manuals and other trusted sources, then organized them all in one place below. Consider this your go-to resource for 6.0L Powerstroke torque specs.

Important Notes:

  • The specs listed below assume you’re using factory-style parts and original hardware. If you’re installing aftermarket components, always follow the manufacturer’s recommended torque values.
  • Make sure all fasteners and threaded holes, whether in the block, front cover, or elsewhere, are clean and in good condition. Damaged, dirty, or contaminated threads are one of the most common causes of stripped hardware.
  • The information below was sourced from the most authoritative references we could find, primarily Ford and International service manuals. Even so, use good judgment any time you’re working on your engine.
  • Some values are listed in pound-inch (lb-in), while others are listed in pound-feet (lb-ft). Double-check your torque wrench settings and make sure you’re using the correct unit.
  • Ford changed the 6.0L cylinder head, rocker carrier, and injector hold-down setup for “commonization” starting January 2006 and the torque ratings changed with them. Make sure you're using the correct torque rating for your hardware.
