Made to high standards, these covers are designed to extend the life of your air intake filter while also giving you a way to visually see the amount of dust collected. The covers work equally well on both oiled and non-oiled filter elements to prevent larger debris from prematurely reducing critical air flow to your engine.
Installation Note: Take care installed over filter elements with metal cages as a metal snag can tear your cover.

I replaced my old Riff Raff 6637 cover due to a couple of small holes from a few years of service. This cover is made from a completely different material than my old one, similar to the water resistant one tucked behind the inner fender well in my KB Supercharged Mustang. This should work well due to the modified air intake chute on my F250 that may allow rainwater to blow towards the air filter driving during a heavy downpour. Time will tell how it helps protect the paper-based 6637 elements over my one year maintenance annual change out.

Definitely helps out, and prolonged the life of my filter. I also noticed that water beads of quickly instead of being directly absorbed into the filter, noticed while cleaning my truck after opening the hood a little water had dripped off the hood onto the filter, not saying its water proof by any means but its better than having a completely exposed filter on your intake set up

This was the 2nd time I purchase this item, the first one was very durable and fit well over the filter the second one I received was cheap and seemed of lower-quality.

Ripped when installing over the filter. Cheap thin material doesn’t stand a chance going over the metals filter grates.
