Straight forward install, just don't forget to pull out the orange seal as it always seems to stick up in the transmission valve body on me. Quality Motorcraft part.

The damn filter needed to be cutoff like 3/4 of an inch, in order for the pan to bolt up to the transmission. I purchased that Lubelocker gasket for $32 cause I didn't want to go aftermarket, I wanted everything to fit. Boy was I in for a surprise. The gasket ended up being worse than this Genuine Motorcraft filter. Both thumbs down on this...

This filter fit perfectly. I wasn't aware that the 4X4 transmission pad was deeper until I ordered this filter.

Easy install once you have the pan of it just pops out then pop the new one in. My transmission pan was leaking
