Riffraff Diesel In-Tank Fuel Mod Kit
If you are experiencing a loss of fuel pressure this could be the cause. Over time the mixing chambers in the fuel tank become full and plug with particulates. This kit allows you to remove them and utilize a frame rail mount fuel filter (optional).
- B100 Fuel Rated US Made Hose
- Quality Fuel Seal Clamps
- Stainless Steel Extension Tube
- Stainless Steel Compression Fitting

Installed this kit along with the RiffRaff fuel filter, swear the truck is a bit quieter than before. Very pleased.
Been putting this off for a couple years, took an afternoon and damn what a difference, throttle response is amazing, smooth, quiet, and now can fill the tank (since I did the Harpoon mod at the same time). Did an external pre-pump filter and love it. Clay certainly knows what he's doing but I left the return line to the tank connection as-is and didn't change it (since it's sort of under pressure) and used that hose from the kit for the in tank return extension. I got longer 3/8 line to go from the tank to the filter then 5/16 line to go from the filter to the pump- fantastic and won't own another 7.3 without doing this first thing.
As far as I'm concerned this is a MUST for 7.3's. Fix a lot of issues I have been having. Truck is now much quieter, easier to start, got back lost performance, and eliminated blow-by and white smoke during acceleration.
My pickup foot had fallen off like with most 7.3 owners causing my truck to take in air below 1/4 tank descending down a grade. Ordered a new foot and did the hutch mod with RR's kit, which is priced about what it would cost to try to hunt down and order all the parts online not knowing the quality. Spared myself the headache and went with RR's rest-assured top quality! Received shipping confirmation 40min after order and received in TX in 2 days! Happy customer here!
I bought this for my 2002 excursion. Not sure how big of a deal it is but the smallest hose in this kit, goes inside the tank, to have the fuel go away from the suction area, just a bit. Other mods I've seen, there is a line bent and bringing the fuel about a foot away from the pick up screen. Must not be a big deal, or Clay would have made it longer! For my excursion, the 5/16 hose wasnt long enough to hook up between the return line of the truck, and the sending unit. I used the 3/8 line for this, and 2 fuel injection hose clamps each end.
Pretty much the same you can put together yourself, but it saved my forgoing all over town, and several of these parts are nicer anyway. Great price. Overall it is a no brainer really.
