Only sealant use to seal oil pans I used it on my HPOP rev to pump along with a new gasket. Works perfect.

Best for a 7.3 leak free oil pan

Posted by Toby Williams on Oct 2nd 2018

I did an engine swap on my 97 OBS which required me to reuse my oil pan. I didn’t see room for a thick Moroso Gasket given the close distance between the pan and engine crossmember on my OBS. So I opted for an original seal. After buying the moroso. Oops. Just Don’t rush. I cleaned old sealant off with a right angle rotary and then cleaned some more, before cleaning with acetone for any residuals left, then applied sealant and torqued to spec. This is better than anything found at an auto parts store, for a 7.3 oil pan. Prep and cure time is the key. It says you can add oil after an hour but I’d give it 24 hours for the trouble of fixing it twice.

    Best RTV

Posted by Unknown on Feb 10th 2014

Ive used regular RTV the parts stores have for years-that is until i rebuilt my 95 engine. This is the best RTV I've used, super tacky and sets up quick. It lasted from the factory for 19 years and 200k+ miles, so i trust it to do it again.
