Hawk LTS Pads - Front

Hawk Performance has applied their severe-duty brake pad friction technology to the braking demands of trucks and SUVs. Heavier vehicles with larger brake systems are more likely to experience higher temperatures, requiring a brake pad that has excellent heat dissipation characteristics.

The new LTS (Light Truck & SUV) Brake Pad Compound utilizes Hawk Performance’s established and proven Ferro-Carbon formulation to provide superior stopping power for full-sized light trucks, SUVs and vans without noise and dust.

Key Features:

  • Improved braking over OE
  • Complete Front Pad Set
  • Superior fade resistance
  • Low Dust
  • Excellent pad and rotor life
  • Virtually noise-free
Note:
Pad sets are sold per axle.
Hawk Performance burnishes its LTS Light Truck & SUV brake pads as a final step in the factory, but all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

    Hawk LTS break pads (front)

Posted by Robert Ordal on Jul 3rd 2021

Installed on 2002 f250 superduty diesel. These break pads are so much better then the pads I removed. Easy install, easy to burnish, and no dust on my wheels now.

    Hawk brake pads

I purchased these because I will be towing a 11,000 lb trailer, my rotors and calipers were in great shape so I followed the instructions and prepped and cleaned them as instructed. I followed the instructions for burnishing them in, I have not towed my trailer yet but these pads feel really positive and strong braking with out being grabby, I would recommend these to anyone who wants to improve their brakes and stopping power.

170,000 miles on the last set.

In 2006 I installed these on my 2003 F350 CCLB 4X4 with 65,000 miles. On 8/16/14, I installed another set with 235,000 on the odometer. They work very well, and get more aggressive the hotter they get. Have never overheated them. Definitely recommend these pads.
