Motorcraft Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor 97-04 Ford 6.0L / 7.3L

The PCM uses data supplied by the EBP Sensor to determine the fuel requirements at any given time while the truck is running. A bad EPB sensor can cause sluggish performance buy signaling the EBP valve at the turbo outlet to close at times that it should not close. A defective EBP sensor can also contribute to poor mileage.

Fitment: 97-03 7.3L and 03-04 6.0L

Tried the cheap aftermarket sensor off of Amazon.....bad idea. Riff Raff, as usual, had the correct part, at a great price.

So, I've done a fair bit of work to my truck including a valve body upgrade. After reading some of the reviews on here, I was intrigued by how something with exhaust has anything to do with the hard shifting of my truck. But here I am, writing a review to let anyone else wondering know that this does help soften the firm shifting on our trucks.
Now, I can't say my firm shifting is completely gone but that's also due to the mismatch of after market parts I have on my truck at the moment. I did notice it did help soften my shifting from a hard kidney punch to a bit softer though more of a very firm push. So I can agree that this helps with the shifting. Also my MPG did pick up again after getting this installed.
