Edge Revolver 7.3L Performance Switch Chip

Edged Up Performance for your 7.3L

The biggest benefit of using the Edge Revolver chip over the competition is simple: Edge makes the BEST new updated Diesel tunes. At Edge products, diesel performance is our passion. Every day we install cool new toys on our in-house diesel fleet in order to create an extraordinary driving experience. Our engineers build the products for people like themselves- Diesel Nuts! You can expect better tunes, better performance gains (level for level) and better drivability from an Edge Revolver chip than any other chip around for your 7.3L. We are proud diesel people, and we set out to prove it!

Edge Revolver Chip Tune Levels:*

Level 1: STOCK TUNE
Level 2: HIGH IDLE
Level 3: TOW
Level 4: DAILY ECONOMY
Level 5: PERFORMANCE
Level 6: EXTREME

Switch on the Fly for Tuning for your 7.3L Powerstroke

Every Revolver chip comes with a 6-position switch that will let you change the power level while driving. This might not seem like a big deal at first, but imagine you are getting ready to go on a camping trip and have your camping trailer hooked up. You probably want to use your tow setting for that so you flip the switch down to your tow setting. When you get to the camp ground and drop your trailer off, you want to head down to the nearest market for some more camping supplies, and you want to do it FAST to show your buddy- just switch to your performance level! The bottom line is that all of your performance levels are available to you at the flick of a switch, no re-programming required and the change is instant!

*Some applications may vary on performance gains. For stock injectors only.

How to Order an Edge Revolver Chip

You will need some information from your truck before you order an Edge Revolver Chip. First, you will need the “ECU Code” from your truck’s ECU. It is easy to find- just look for your ECU which will be located behind the Driver’s Side Kick Panel where there is a black plug that will have a sticker on the plug that shows the ECU code.  In the case that this sticker isn’t there or the plug has been removed then you can look in the engine compartment where the main harness connection connects to the ECU.  In some cases you can put your phone down by the connector and take a picture of it to reveal the ECU code. If you can’t see it then you may need to remove the ECU. There will be a large 4 Digit Code there that are 3 letters and 1 number. These “ECU Codes” identify what ECU is in your truck, and they come in groups. Some examples might be NVK2 and NVK4, which share the same tunes which would have the same “Box Code”, but have different ECM codes. You will need to give your ECM code to the dealer that is burning your chip, or buy the chip pre-programmed for your ECM code (or box code family). Here is an example of what your ECM code will look like on the ECM.

    Edge Revolver 7.3

Posted by Roger on Jan 31st 2024

Works as advertised, installation was simple. It's been in for two fill ups.
I have 337K miles on this stock engine & manual 5sp od trans. Under 2k rpm (about 68 mph), Tow or Economy Mode- right now I’m avg 17.5 -18 mpg. Without the chip I avg 16.5 mpg. Anything over 2k rpm, chip or not- this is a fuel drinking machine- 15.5 mpg. Overall very pleased with the performance. I’m not using the 5th and 6th position. But I did trying those settings and the throttle response & torque are unreal!
    Again, very pleased!
Next purchase, Lord willing- adding an Aux gearbox from Gear Vendors- I should be able to cruise 80, just under 2K rpm.

the power levels really woke up my older 2001 F550 powerstroke, It is mainly used as a hauler so it will great for what I need. RiffRaff diesel is the bomb, ever since they got me out of a bind years ago they are. Thanks for the Riffraff team, they sell great products!!

Transmission shifting and lvl 6 no real change in mph

Posted by Keith on Aug 15th 2022

I got to say it definitely woke my 03 7.3l up.. the power is amazing.. i can now burn rubber when ever and roll coal.. I definitely recommend this chip if your looking for power..but on the down side the shifting in my transmission is way fast and it doesn't shift as smooth as it should.. it almost slams in to gear but nothing that's to crazy.. it's feels like a hop.. also the stage 6 will make my check engine light come on and im not sure why.. so if I switch it to 5 or to 4 where I like it most the time it shuts off.. the mph isn't better I think it's just the same not much different there.. not to say it won't work for other 7.3l but it doesn't work for mine... all and all I love the chip and have no regrets on the purchase... just a reminder when you do buy it and go to install it take your ecu apart to clean the connection really good.. I didn't and it didn't work.. but once you expose the copper it will work amazingly..

    Edge Revolver chip/switch

Posted by Allen on May 6th 2022

Very easy intallation. I could tell the difference immediately in economy mode when I switched from the factory setting as far as performance and even power. My mpg increased from 17 to 21 just driving to and from work. On a recent road trip my mileage went up to 23 if I stayed at 65 (1850 rpm)

This weekend will be the test of tow mode when I hook onto our 30' camper.

With fuel at $5.39 a gallon, economy mode will save me $$ at the pump.

    Get tuned in

First off, makes your OBS much more fun to drive. This works best with aftermarket air and exhaust. Level 3 is all you need for better drivability.
Very easy install, just make sure you spend a little extra time cleaning contacts on PCM.
Did have a concern about hard shifting from 2nd to 3rd after install but fresh synthetic fluid, new transmission filter and deep pan solved that.
I would buy this again for my next truck.
